This is a private class sign up for the date and time listed above. You may select ONE of the following four classes to complete during class time. Please read class descriptions below and type the class name into the "special instructions" box in the cart when checking out.
Due to COVID precautions, beading classes are being held one-on-one. Please give us a call at 574.371.2777 if you wish to schedule a class for a group of 2 or more.
Class Descriptions:
Earrings 101 - This is the perfect class for beginners who want to begin learning to make earrings or for experienced makers who need some fine tuning of their technique. This class will cover basic wire wrapping, headpin & earwire selection, and the benefits of each type. Students will make 4 pairs of earrings. We will have multiple color options available. All supplies included. Suggested age: 13+ / Approx 1.5 hrs.
Basic Stringing & Crimping - Want to learn to make jewelry for yourself or to sell? This basic stringing class is a great place to start! We will cover what you need to know from stringing material (What's "19 strand"?) to findings (What is a "finding"?) Students will make a 30" beaded necklace or a 20" necklace and matching bracelet using beading wire and a crimping tool. There will be three color combinations to choose from as shown. All supplies included. Suggested age 10+ / Approx 1.5 hrs.
Wire-Wrapped Bracelets - Learn the basics of wire-weaving! Students will use wire and fire-polished glass beads to create two bracelets using colors of their choice. These look fabulous stacked up. All supplies included. Suggested age: 13+ / Approx 2 hrs.
Brick Stitch Lariat Necklace - Brush up on your brick stitch skills to create this fun, funky necklace. This technique can be used for many different projects, making it a good one to have in your beadweaving repertoire. Students will complete one necklace. No beadweaving experience necessary, but feeling comfortable working with needle and thread is helpful. All supplies included. Suggested age: 13+ / Approx 3 hrs.
The Beaded Peacock Class Policy
Masks are required to be worn the entire duration of your class and while inside the shop.
If you develop symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or are awaiting results of a COVID test, please reschedule your class time.
Payment is required at time of sign up to secure your place in class.
If you find you cannot attend class, let us know a minimum of 48 hours before the date of the class and you will be given credit towards another class or store credit for the amount of the class. If The Beaded Peacock needs to cancel a class, you will be notified and your class fee will be refunded in full.
Accessibility: Most classes are taught in our classroom on the second floor. If you are unable to use stairs, please let us know at checkout and we will be happy to make accommodations for you.
No reminders will be given for class, so please mark your calendar. No refunds will be given for forgotten classes.
Additional Winter/COVID Class Policy: In addition to standard class policies shown above, if you find you cannot make it to class due to weather, please call us prior to class starting and you will receive class credit for the amount of class. If The Beaded Peacock cancels class due to weather, you may elect to attend a rescheduled class, or you may be refunded in full.
