The Basics
The following are classes taught at The Beaded Peacock. We offer jewelry making classes on a monthly basis. For our current schedule click
HERE. Any of the following may be taught privately for an additional $10 fee OR schedule a group
of 4 or more, with no additional fee.
Basic Stringing - Layered Necklace This is a new class offering that teaches basic stringing and crimping techniques as well as jump ring use. Students will make a triple strand necklace using glass, stone, and metal beads as well as chain. This project would make a great gift for the holidays that you design and make yourself! Students will have multiple color and stone options available.
Cost $40, includes all supplies
Earrings 101 This is the perfect class for beginners who want to begin learning to make jewelry or for experienced makers who need some fine tuning of their technique. This class will cover basic wire wrapping, headpin & earwire selection, and the benefits of each type. Students will make 4 pairs of earrings. We will have multiple color options available.
Cost $40, includes all supplies.
Bead Basics 101: Wire Wrapping - Floral Bracelet - If you have never wire wrapped before or if you need a solid refresher course... this class is for you! We will use headpins to layer beads, completing it with a basic wire wrap. We will also practice the briolette wrap as well as attaching a wrap directly to a chain. (19 wraps in all.) Wire wrapping is an essential jewelry-making technique for making earrings as well as pendants and more. Guests will complete one floral bracelet using colors of their choice.

Basic Stringing - Boho Chic Bracelet
Beginners welcome! This is our newest basics class featuring fire-polished glass beads, a bead cluster embellishment, and a leather and button closure. There are many ways to make this bracelet uniquely yours.
Cost $15 + supplies (Supplies are approximately $12 depending on beads selected and must be purchased at the time of class.)
Basic Stringing: Wear with Everything Bracelet - Beginners welcome! Want to learn to make jewelry for yourself or to sell? Join us for this basic stringing class to create a one of a kind bracelet that goes will everything, using a variety different metal beads.
Cost: $38, includes all supplies
Ladder Wrap Bracelet - These bracelets are easy & fun to create with loads of ways to get creative! They require few tools and make great handmade gifts! In this class you will make one double-wrap bracelet. We will be using natural stone, glass & pewter beads*.
Cost: $45, includes supplies

Bead Knotting - Learn to create a continuous knotted strand of beads in this class. This is a valuable technique to have in your repertoire. It can be used in many different jewelry projects. Students will make a long, knotted necklace using glass pearls and a glass focal bead. Various color options will be available*.

Macrame - Learn basic square stitch and how to make adjustable closures. Students will make 2 bracelets using stringing material and beads of their choice. Leather and colorful hemp options available to choose from.
